Mamusta Rahim Osmanzadeh, the Friday prayer leader of Sunni community in Salmas County, in Iran’s West Azarbaijan Province, in an interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) emphasized Islamic unity as an advantage and a strength for the Muslim nation.
He called solidarity as number one issue in the world of Islam and causes the biggest concern among enemies.
The Iranian Sunni scholar warned against efforts by mainstream media that aim to weaken Islam and said,” Enemies now target al-Aqsa Mosque which is the first Qibla of Muslims.”
He added,” Al-Aqsa Mosque as a holy site belonging to all Muslims while the mainstream media are teaching the younger generation of Muslims to discard their religion, their fellow Muslim brothers and the holy site.”
Mamusta Rahim Osmanzadeh reiterated Islamic unity as a top priority that must be explained and promoted among Muslims.
He also warned against those who provoke Shia and Sunni communities against each other through desecration of their sanctities.
The senior cleric called on Muslim leaders to explain, in a new and clear wording, the hostile ambitions of enemies to all Muslims.
