A Friday prayer leader in Iran’s Kurdistan province has called Hajj pilgrimage as a display of fight against domineering powers expressing hope that more focus on Islamic unity will further boost solidarity among Muslims.

Mamusta Molla Mahmoud ibn Khayyat, the prayer leader of Sunni community in Saqqez County, in an interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA), called the Islamic lunar month of Dhu al-Hijjah, as a month with most lessons and opportunities to boost Islamic unity.
 
He said,” Islamic nation can manifest several instances of its unity during Dhu al-Hijjah” and added,” Hajj rituals will further highlight the unified world of Islam in contrast with the world of non-believers, led by the US and Israeli regime.
 
He expressed hope that Hajj pilgrims, in performing the rituals and boosting Islamic solidarity, strengthens their unity.
 
Mamusta ibn Khayyat called on the Muslim world to set unity on top of its agenda and fight against arrogant powers as an objective.
 
He concluded,” The world of Islam will never bow to oppression and arrogance and will fight to foil hostile plots by all possible means.”
