Speaking to Taghrib News Agency(TNA), Alousi asserted that scholars and leaders across the Muslim world have reached a consensus: unity is no longer a theoretical ideal but a necessary obligation to confront the challenges posed by Zionist and American aggression against Islamic lands.
He described the current situation as extremely difficult, requiring a profound and collective effort from the Islamic Ummah. Referring to the strong participation of scholars in the Unity Conference, Alousi noted that many attendees came to express solidarity with the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Palestinian cause, especially given the sensitive and volatile conditions facing the region.
Alousi added that many global analysts now acknowledge the damaging consequences of a unipolar world order, which has inflicted significant harm on humanity.
Commenting on the recent 12-day war, Alousi praised Iran’s decisive military response, which forced the enemy to seek a ceasefire. He described this response as a pivotal moment that shattered the myth of an invincible army and undermined American hegemonic ambitions in the region.
Regarding the silence of some Islamic countries on the situation in Gaza, Alousi highlighted the resilience of Palestinian resistance and Yemen’s remarkable support for Palestine—developments that defied analysts’ expectations. He expressed disappointment that certain major Islamic nations failed to take meaningful positions, noting that support need not be limited to military aid. Economic measures, such as sanctions and boycotts, could have effectively pressured the Zionist regime. “Had such actions been taken,” he said, “Israel would not have dared to commit these atrocities.”
