The Enemy Exploits Every Tactic to Undermine Islam
Speaking to Taghrib News Agency, Esmaeili referred to Quranic teachings, noting that defense is a religious obligation. “Wherever one resides, that land is theirs—and defending one’s homeland, faith, and dignity is a sacred duty,” he declared.

He stressed that true defense is only possible through unity. “During the eight-year imposed war and the recent 12-day conflict, people of all sects and ethnicities—Shia, Sunni, Turk, Kurd, Fars, Arab, and Lor—stood together against the forces of evil,” he said.
Esmaeili highlighted that one of the greatest blessings of sacred defense was the unity it fostered among diverse groups against a common enemy seeking to destroy Islam and the nation. “Without unity, we will be defeated,” he warned. “Only through solidarity can we protect our faith and homeland from global arrogance and Zionism.”
He called on all Iranians and Muslims worldwide to stand united against the enemy. “If we are divided, the enemy will exploit countless plots to dismantle the Islamic world,” he said. “Sacred defense taught us that we can resist the enemy’s schemes to the last drop of blood—and if Muslims remain united, they will prevail.”
Reflecting on the lessons of the 12-day war, Esmaeili urged constant vigilance. “We must never be complacent. The enemy is always scheming, and we must remain alert and prepared,” he said.
He reiterated the need for strategic awareness, including scientific and nuclear knowledge, to build a robust Islamic civilization. “Sacred defense taught us that with knowledge, awareness, and readiness, we can establish a great Islamic civilization to rival the Western one.”
Esmaeili described the 12-day war as a lesson in empathy, unity, sacrifice, faith, martyrdom, and jihad. “We must never forget the enemy,” he said. “As the Qur’an instructs, we must strengthen our knowledge, awareness, and capabilities to confront them.”
He concluded by recalling the enemy’s failed expectations: “They believed that by attacking Iran, they could quickly seize the country and incite unrest. But the people stood firm against global arrogance and Zionism, and in the end, it was they who requested a ceasefire.”
