“The world witnessed a large-scale operation designed in response to decades of occupation, the siege of Gaza, and repeated assaults on Islamic holy sites—especially Al-Aqsa Mosque.”
Kalashi-Nejad explained that the operation emerged from years of repression, land confiscation, and the continued expansionist policies of the Zionist regime.
He outlined the operation’s core objectives: “Breaking the years-long siege of Gaza, alleviating the suffering of millions of Palestinians, confronting escalating aggression against Al-Aqsa and other Islamic sites, and securing the release of thousands of Palestinian prisoners held in Israeli jails.”
The cleric noted that the operation triggered widespread international reactions, including multiple emergency sessions at the United Nations Security Council. However, he lamented that due to obstruction by certain powers, no unified or effective action was taken.
“Many countries and international organizations called for an immediate end to the violence and a deeper examination of its root causes. Yet, global institutions turned a blind eye to the crimes of the Zionist regime, displaying complete indifference to basic human values.”
Kalashi-Nejad concluded by emphasizing the operation’s symbolic and strategic importance: “Al-Aqsa Flood marked a new turning point in the long journey of the Palestinian people toward freedom and justice. It reaffirmed that the Palestinian cause is alive—and that resistance is the only path to confront tyranny and occupation.”
