Bahraini scholar in an interview with TNA:

The role of the leader of the Ummah in reviving and expanding the concept of the "Islamic Ummah" has been very important and influential

A Bahraini scholar stated: "The insight-enhancing thoughts of Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Hosseini Khamenei have not been accurately and widely made available to the world. With effort and careful planning, these lofty thoughts must be translated into various languages and conveyed to free-thinking youth around the world so that they may benefit from them in building a better future for the entire world."
The role of the leader of the Ummah in reviving and expanding the concept of the "Islamic Ummah" has been very important and influential
Sheikh Abdullah bin Ali bin Ahmed Al-Daqqaq, director of the Bahraini Seminary in Qom and representative of Sheikh Isa Ahmed Qasim, the leader of the Bahraini revolution, in an interview with the Taghrib News Agency (TNA), examined the unity-enhancing actions of the martyred leader of the revolution. The summary of this interview is as follows:

How do you assess the role of the martyred leader in transforming the concept of the "Islamic Ummah" into a comprehensive discourse in the Islamic world?

The role of the martyred leader of the Ummah, Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, in reviving and expanding the concept of the "Islamic Ummah" can be considered very important and influential. He always sought to define Islamic identity beyond geographical borders, ethnicities, and nationalities, and called on Muslims to pay attention to shared religious and civilizational commonalities. In his view, the Islamic world is a single body, and harm to any part of it affects the other parts as well. His emphasis on Shia-Sunni unity, support for oppressed nations, and making the Palestinian issue the pivot of Muslim solidarity transformed the concept of the "Islamic Ummah" from a political slogan into a living and influential discourse in a significant part of the Islamic world.

In the current situation of the region and the world, what are the most important obstacles to the realization of Islamic unity?

Today, the realization of Islamic unity faces numerous challenges. Religious and ethnic differences and the political exploitation of these differences are among the most important obstacles. Furthermore, the interventions of foreign powers and their efforts to create division among Islamic countries have played a significant role in weakening Muslim unity. Additionally, the preference of some governments for national and political interests over the broader interests of the Islamic world has prevented the formation of common positions in the face of crises. The dire situation of the people of Gaza, the recent developments in Lebanon, the widespread attacks by America and the Zionist regime against the Islamic Republic of Iran, the martyrdom of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution and a large number of Iranian citizens using the territories of some Islamic countries, have shown that the lack of coordination and cohesion among Islamic countries remains one of the fundamental problems of the Islamic world.

How has the discourse of resistance been able to become an influential component in regional and international equations?

The discourse of resistance has been able to gain a significant position in regional and international equations over the past years. This discourse has shown that nations and political movements can resist pressures and occupation even in unequal military and economic conditions. Resistance is not merely a military concept, but has political, cultural, social, and media dimensions, and has made world public opinion more sensitive to the Palestinian issue. This discourse has also led many regional and international actors to take into account its position and influence in their political and security calculations. A brief look at the recent war has shown everyone that resistance, despite limited resources, can stand against world superpowers and prove their hollowness. The forty-day resistance of the Iranian nation and the solid blows that the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran inflicted on American bases and the Zionist regime are the result of the profound thoughts of the martyred leader, Imam Seyyed Ali Hosseini Khamenei (may God be pleased with him).

In your opinion, after the martyrdom of the martyred leader, what is the most important responsibility of the resistance front?

The most important responsibility of the resistance front is to maintain internal cohesion, prevent division and fragmentation, and fully obey the commands of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei. Furthermore, educating a new generation of leaders, transferring experiences to young forces, and transforming ideals into stable structures and institutions are among the most essential duties of this movement. Historical experience has shown that the continuity of a school of thought and intellectual movement depends on its ability to build institutions and educate future generations. Resistance forces in various countries must be organized and should not be satisfied with being limited to a few countries in the region. Following the recent events, the axis of resistance must think about expanding its geography to other countries in Asia, Africa, and other continents in order to resist global arrogance in the best possible way.

How do you assess the role of scholars in explaining and promoting the thought and school of the martyred leader for the youth?

Scholars, academics, and religious scholars have a very important role in transmitting and explaining the thoughts of intellectual leaders to the younger generation. The new generation faces different questions and needs, and presenting political and civilizational concepts in a scientific and understandable language is an undeniable necessity. Scholars can, by avoiding sloganistic approaches and providing documented and logical analyses, prepare the ground for young people to become familiar with the intellectual foundations of the school of the martyred Imam. Furthermore, the use of modern media tools and cyberspace can play an important role in conveying these concepts to the younger generation and contribute to the vitality and continuity of these thoughts in the future.

Unfortunately, the insight-enhancing thoughts of Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Hosseini Khamenei have not been accurately and widely made available to the world. With effort and careful planning, these lofty thoughts must be translated into various languages and conveyed to free-thinking youth around the world so that they may benefit from them in building a better future for the entire world.
