Irans martyred leader was an inspiring, far-sighted, and influential figure in the Islamic world

Yousuf Raza Gilani, Chairman of the Pakistani Senate, who had traveled to Tehran to participate in the funeral ceremonies of the martyred leader of the Islamic Revolution, in an interview with the Taghrib News Agency (TNA), described Iran-Pakistan relations as deep-rooted, historical, and based on cultural, religious, and spiritual ties.

Referring to his meetings with the martyred leader of the Islamic Revolution in past years, he described him as an inspiring, far-sighted, and influential figure in the Islamic world, and said: "The loss of such a leader is a loss for the Islamic Ummah."

Gilani assessed Iran's management in the days following the martyrdom of the martyred leader as coherent, and considered the presence of high-ranking delegations from various countries at the funeral ceremony as a sign of the status and influential role of the Islamic Republic of Iran in regional and international developments.

He also, referring to Pakistan's diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions and support dialogue in the region, emphasized the role of cooperation among Islamic countries in strengthening peace and stability.

From the perspective of the Chairman of the Pakistani Senate, the most important message of this event was the reaction of the Iranian nation – a nation that, in difficult conditions, by maintaining unity and solidarity, stood against external pressures and demonstrated its national cohesion.

In Gilani's view, Iran's real capital is the unity of its people, and this same solidarity will be the most important support for the country in overcoming future challenges.
