PPS reported the presence of a group of children in Megiddo Prison in northern Israel who were detained from the Gaza Strip. No further information regarding Gaza detainees was provided.
According to PPS, Israeli authorities yesterday; on the first day of the Eid al-Adha Muslim holiday, detained a seven-year-old child, who was identified as Baha Kazem Haj Mohammed, from the town of al-Mughayyir east of Ramallah, and released him hours later.
According to the child's family, Baha was detained while he was present at the town center, along with other children and youths who were also rounded up. PPS added that Baha was beaten on his hands after his detention. The occupation forces deliberately left the seven-year-old boy far from his home following his release hours later.
