Hujjat-ul-Islam Ramezani made the remarks in an interview with Bangladeshi media upon his arrival to the country, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He referred to the meetings held with the Shia and Sunni scholars in different Bangladeshi cities and said,” Our solidarity with the Sunni community is a strategic unity rather than a tactical measure; meaning that we have not chosen the method only to secure our present interests.”

He stressed unity as a prelude to Muslims’ growth in various domains.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Ramezani also reiterated importance of providing a thorough introduction of Islam to the world and said,” Islamic fiq’h is the perfect form including laws on international and human social communication.”

The senior cleric in his speech at the conference entitled “Islamic Modern Civilization”, held in the Bangladeshi capital Dhaka, highlighted attention to the material and spiritual arenas as the features of the Islamic civilization.

The cleric condemned expansion of Takfir (excommunication) among the plots hatched by enemies to divide Muslims.

He said,” Daesh and its like-minded groups were brainchildren of enemies of Islam since their terrorist attacks, only targeted Muslims.”

The Secretary General of Ahlul Bayt (AS) World Assembly stressed,” In our defense for the oppressed people in Palestine, we have never considered their denomination, which is Sunni Islam, because basically the defense for the oppressed people is what matters for us.”
