26th session of Intl. Fiqh Academy to be held in Doha

The Qatari capital of Doha is set to host the 26th session of the International Fiqh Academy with prominent Muslim scholars from across the globe in attendance.

A subsidiary of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Qatar’s Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs will host the upcoming session of the event from May 4 to 8.

Muslim scholars, jurists and experts from across the globe will convene to discuss rulings and commendation on a host of issues among them economic, medical and religious topics.

The Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari will represent the Islamic Republic of Iran in the upcoming Doha meeting.

The International Islamic Fiqh Academy is a reputable and reliable scientific institution serving as a primary reference for collective Ijtihad, with members from the 57 member states of the OIC.

The member states from the world Islamic body and representatives convene annually to examine and debate contemporary issues and developments, offering Sharia-based solutions to contemporary life problems through a collaborative scientific approach.
