Cleric hails unity among Islamic denominations in Iran
A member of Iran’s Assembly of Experts has hailed the solidarity and fraternal ties between the Shia and Sunni community in Iran.

Akhoond Kamal Gheravi, the representative of the Sunni community in Iran’s Golestan province made the comments in a meeting with a group of Bangladeshi scholars visiting Iran, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He said,” The current solidarity among Muslims in Golestan province is owed to the Islamic Republic” highlighting the coexistence and fraternal ties among different groups across Iran.
He referred to the massive gathering of Muslims from all denominations during ceremonies of Eid al-Adha and Fitr Eid as well as Hajj pilgrimage through which Iranians show their unity to the world.
Still in another part of his remarks, the top cleric called on Muslim world not to disregard the ongoing Israeli crimes against Palestinians in Gaza.
He said,” Late Imam Khomeini (RA), by designating the International Quds Day, called the world people to fight against the Israeli regime and introduced the Palestinian objective across the globe” and added,” The ongoing Israeli crimes in Gaza reveal that the innovation by the late Imam was absolutely right.”
The member of Iran’s Assembly of Experts emphasized resistance against world arrogance and the “Zionist Israeli regime” as a responsibility for all.
