In a statement released on their Telegram channel, Hamas warned against the escalation of such incursions and the performance of Talmudic rituals in the courtyards of Al-Aqsa on the anniversary of the occupation.
Hamas emphasized that the Palestinian people will continue to defend Al-Aqsa and will not allow Zionist plans for its division or Judaization to succeed.
The movement called on Palestinian groups in the West Bank, Quds City, and other occupied areas to defend Al-Aqsa, increase their presence at the mosque, and confront the aggressions and brutality of the settlers.
Hamas also urged the free people of the Arab and Islamic nations to fulfill their responsibilities in protecting Al-Aqsa, support the Palestinian resistance facing displacement, and work to stop the aggressions of the occupiers against the people and sacred sites of Palestine.
On the fifty-eighth anniversary of the occupation of East Quds City by the Israeli regime, a large number of extremist Jews, supported by the police, stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque and raised the Israeli flag inside the holy compound.
