President Pezeshkian: Our Response to Continued Zionist Aggression Will Be Decisive
In a phone call with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, Pezeshkian expressed gratitude for Egypt’s firm and brotherly stance regarding the Zionist regime’s aggression against Iran. He emphasized his longstanding commitment to internal unity and constructive engagement with neighboring and Islamic countries.

Referring to the Zionist attack during ongoing negotiations with the U.S., he added: > “We were seeking to resolve issues through dialogue. We did not start this war, nor do we wish to continue it. However, if the aggression persists, our response will be firm and resolute.”
He reiterated that Iran remains committed to international frameworks governing peaceful nuclear activities and clarified that Iran has no intention of pursuing non-peaceful nuclear programs. These points, he noted, were also raised during talks with the United States.
President Pezeshkian stressed that sustainable development cannot occur without peace and stability, and that Iran seeks regional cooperation for mutual prosperity. He blamed the Zionist regime for ongoing instability and conflict in the region.
He also affirmed the right of the Palestinian people to an independent state and praised Egypt’s efforts to halt Zionist aggression against both Gaza and Iran. > “The Zionist regime and the U.S. believed Iran would collapse within days of the attack,” he said, “but that was a delusion.”
President el-Sisi, in turn, strongly condemned the Israeli assault and emphasized the need for diplomatic engagement to de-escalate tensions. He reiterated that any resolution to Iran’s nuclear issue must be pursued through diplomatic and technical means, warning that military solutions would only worsen the crisis.
