Iran hails retaliatory attack on US al-Udeid base, asserts friendly ties with Qatar

The spokesman of Iran’s Foreign Ministry has hailed the retaliatory missile strike on the US al-Udeid base in Qatar as conducted in line with the country’s right to self-defense.

Esmaeil Baghaei, in a post on his social media X, said the retaliatory missile strike on the US al-Udeid base was conducted in response to the 22nd June US aggression against sovereignty of the Islamic Republic, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He said,” This defensive measure must not be taken as a move against the friendly neighboring country, Qatar” stressing,” Tdhe Islamic Republic is committed to its friendly and deep;y-rooted relations with Doha.”
 
Baqaei reiterated Iran’s commitment to good neighborliness with Qatar and other neighboring countries.
 
He reaffirmed Iran’s determination to prevent the US and Israeli hostile measures against Iran to divide Tehran with its “brothers in the region.”
 
The message by Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman follows Iran’s retaliatory missile strike on US al-Udeid base in Qatar responding US attacks on Iranian nuclear sites.
