Abdel Bari Atwan:

Yemen’s strikes have created a new deterrent equation against Israel

According to Taghrib News Agency, Abdel Bari Atwan stated that the Yemeni attacks came only hours after the assault on the ports of Al-Hudaydah, indicating their capability to strike deep into the occupied territories.
Yemen’s strikes have created a new deterrent equation against Israel
He said these operations included strikes on the Ashkelon power plant, the ports of Ashdod and Eilat, as well as Lod Airport.

Atwan emphasized that Yemen’s focus on targeting ports, airports, and power stations reveals the exceptional strategic thinking of its leadership, as power outages in the occupied territories cause severe disruption and completely paralyze daily life.

He added: “This new equation will force the Zionist enemy to beg for a ceasefire in Gaza. Yemen has won at this stage, and the Zionist regime has opened the gates of hell upon itself. This regime is no stronger than the United States, which was forced to withdraw from the region.”

Atwan stressed that all naval vessels heading toward the Zionist regime in the Red Sea have become legitimate targets, and even American ships may be targeted due to their participation in aggression against Iran.

Citing the remarks of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and Sheikh Naim Qassem, Secretary-General of Hezbollah, he noted that the Axis of Resistance is returning with strength and resolve.

The editor of Rai al-Youm said, “Yemen’s heroic stance has strengthened the position of the Palestinian people, the Palestinian resistance, and even the Palestinian negotiator, supporting their rejection of U.S.-Israeli initiatives.”

He added that Israeli forces face daily incidents of suicide and injuries in encounters with resistance fighters, and the regime is struggling with blackouts, overcrowded shelters, and reverse migration of settlers fleeing a land that is no longer safe. The ports of Ashkelon, Ashdod, and Haifa are nearly shut down, and Tel Aviv has turned into a “ghost town.”

Iran is ready to confront Israeli aggression

Atwan ruled out the likelihood of another U.S.-Israeli attack on Iran and emphasized that Iran is prepared and holds surprises. He also predicted a powerful return of the southern Lebanon front.

He expressed respect for Iranian domestic opposition figures who stood with the government in the face of external aggression and hoped that Yemen, too, would achieve national unity against its enemies.

He said: “Gaza will never forget Yemen’s position. It sees Yemen as a supporter and ally that will never leave it alone. Yemen has now turned its entire territory into a battlefield and will continue to strike the depth of the occupied lands.”

The Rai al-Youm editor described the situation as “a major defeat” for the Zionist regime and said that Netanyahu’s trip to Washington at this time carries a clear message: Yemen will not surrender, and the Zionist regime will face further punishment from the Yemeni people and leadership.

He added: “This regime is no longer safe—neither on land nor at sea. Yemen is now defining a real deterrent equation. American and Israeli vessels no longer enjoy safety in the Red Sea, and the Axis of Resistance is intensifying military operations on all fronts—from Gaza to Yemen and southern Lebanon.”
