Imam Hussein (AS) Belongs to All Religions and Denominations

Hujjat al-Islam Lotfollah Eshraqi, a senior scholar of the Qom Seminary, said in an interview with Taghrib News Agency: Imam Hussein (AS) does not belong solely to Islamic sects, but rather, followers of various religions and denominations hold a special devotion to him. The love and affection for Imam Hussein (AS) is heartfelt and will never be extinguished.

Hujjat al-Islam Eshraqi noted: One of the key points that followers of Imam Hussein (AS) must pay attention to is the need to avoid both exaggeration and neglect—that is, they should neither go beyond Imam’s stance nor fall short of it. In essence, the goals of his uprising must be precisely understood and adopted as a model for managing Islamic society.
This Shia scholar emphasized: In the Islamic Republic of Iran and other countries, we witness people’s deep attachment to him. In expressing their love and affection, they offer vows and hold religious gatherings on various levels. Therefore, the presence of Hussaini fervor in the hearts of believers—and its enduring vitality despite opposition from certain governments and countries—must be preserved.
