Gaza war update:

Nearly a dozen Palestinians killed in Israeli escalation in Gaza

29 Jul 2025 - 16:03

At least 11 people have lost their lives as Israeli regime forces launched fresh attacks across Gaza in yet another day of bloodshed in the besieged territory.

The victims were killed in two separate Israeli airstrikes targeting areas housing displaced persons in the Rafah and Khan Yunis governorates in the southern Gaza Strip.

Medical sources at Nasser Medical Complex reported that Israeli forces opened fire on a gathering of citizens near humanitarian aid centers north of Rafah, killing seven people and wounding several others.

In a separate strike, Israeli fighter jets targeted a tent housing displaced persons in the Al-Mawasi area west of Khan Yunis, resulting in the killing of four Palestinian, including two children, according to medical staff at Nasser Medical Complex.

Israeli forces killed at least 92 Palestinians across Gaza on Monday, including 41 aid seekers, despite “pauses” in fighting to deliver essential humanitarian aid.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Health today, the death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 60,034, the majority of whom are children and women with over 145,800 injured as the regime presses ahead with airstrikes, artillery attacks, and indiscriminate shelling of residential areas and shelters.

This latest escalation comes at a time when the Gaza Strip is facing an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe, with famine and epidemics spreading, and the suffering of hundreds of thousands of displaced people worsening amid international silence and inability to halt the ongoing aggression.
