A member of Iran’s Assembly of Experts has highlighted the unmatched role of the religions in establishing sustained peace stressing the power of religions in injecting peace to the nations.

Ayatollah Ahmad Mobleghi, speaking at the Second International Conference of Religious Leaders in Kuala Lumpur, emphasized the unique role of religions in creating lasting peace, saying: "No force is as capable of instilling peace into the consciences of nations as the United Religions", reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
Ayatollah Moballeghi emphasized the necessity of religious leaders' convergence to confront crises at the Second International Conference of Religious and stated: "Resolving global conflicts is only possible with lasting peace and security."
 
And no force is as powerful as religions, when their words are united and their flags aligned, and has the ability to inject tranquility into the societies and spread peace in the consciences of nations.
 
The member of the Assembly of Experts added, “Ending the conflict depends on the realization of four principles: taking steps to reform and resolve disputes fairly, promoting a culture of tolerance and peace, confronting the causes of oppression, and dismantling existing oppression.
 
The professor at Qom Seminary said: "The effort to eliminate the oppression that is being inflicted on the oppressed people of Gaza today is a clear example of the fourth principle, which is to eliminate the existing oppression against them, and religions have an important and serious duty in this regard."
 
The speakers in this session emphasized the fundamental role of religions in resolving conflicts and examining their roots and resolving them, as well as the necessity of coexistence.
 
Ayatollah Ahmad Moballeghi, the representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran at the World Islamic Fiqh Forum, is chairing the second scientific session of this conference on the topic of “The Role of Religious Leaders in Eliminating Manifestations of Violence and Conflict.”
 
This is the second international meeting of religious leaders, which began on Thursday, August 28, 2025 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This international event was attended by a group of prominent religious figures, thinkers, and officials of interfaith dialogue institutions from around the world.
