Bahraini Media Activist calls Islamic unity a religious duty, not just a dream
Bahraini media activist Fatima Al-Yaqub has called for renewed commitment to Islamic unity, describing it not merely as an aspiration but as a religious obligation rooted in the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Speaking at the webinar of the 39th Islamic Unity Conference, Al-Yaqub emphasized that true resistance transcends sectarian divisions.
“Unity among Muslims is not optional—it is a divine mandate and a foundational principle of our faith,” she stated.
She warned of growing challenges to unity, particularly sectarian conflicts and foreign interference, which she said are deliberately designed to sow discord between Shia and Sunni communities.
In a pointed message to governments that have altered their educational content to appease external powers, she urged: “If you truly seek peace and unity, you must eliminate what separates a Muslim from his brother and plant the seeds of love for unity in the hearts of future generations.”
With the theme “1500th Birth Anniversary of Prophet of Blessings and Islamic Nation”, the 39th Islamic Unity Conference will be held from September 7 to 10, 2025, in Tehran.
