Al-Muwaldi made comments at the webinar of the 39th Islamic Unity Conference, highlighting that the concept of Islamic unity is deeply rooted in the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), who advocated for spiritual brotherhood and equality among all Muslims, transcending tribal, ethnic, and racial affiliations.
The challenges we face today are immense and require cooperation, he said, warning that hostile forces have infiltrated Muslim societies by spreading division and exploiting the ignorance of some individuals.
He stressed that these forces often rely on mercenaries and ideologically misled actors to destabilize communities.
“We have a duty to confront the agents of division and those who empower them through political and economic means.”
Referring to ongoing crises in Gaza, Syria, Iraq, and Lebanon, Al-Muwaldi concluded, “Despite the suffering and injustice we witness, our obligation remains clear: to resist wisely and stand together.”
With the theme “1500th Birth Anniversary of Prophet of Blessings and Islamic Nation”, the 39th Islamic Unity Conference will be held from September 7 to 10, 2025, in Tehran.
