Martyrs are axis of unity, defense for Islamic nation
A prominent Iranian scholar has hailed the martyrs slain in defense of Palestine as axis of unity, compassion and defense for the Islamic nation.

Mamusta Abdulsalam Emami, speaking at the opening ceremony of the 39th Islamic Unity Conference, highlighted the high spirit of the Islamic nation despite the toll imposed on the Muslim nation, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
The Iranian cleric referred to the desperate condition of the Palestinians in Gaza Strip and said,” Parents who lose their children to starvation, thirst and martyrdom are true examples of devotion and patience; therefore, the Islamic nation must support them in action.”
He called on the Islamic clerics calling on them to play their political and practical role besides the Islamic governments.”
The remarks by the Iranian cleric was addressed to the 39th Islamic Unity entitled ‘1500th Birth Anniversary of Prophet of Mercy and Islamic Ummah’.
The meeting is underway in the Iranian capital Tehran on September 8-10, 2025.
The event convenes hundreds of Muslim figures, officials and elites from across the globe to discuss the Muslim world issues and ways to boost solidarity among different denominations.
