Qazi Yusuf Hunaina made the remarks on Tuesday at the 39th international Islamic Unity Conference underway in Tehran, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

Iran plays a key role in fight against colonialism and plots hatched by the enemies of Islam, he said.

More than 325 Islamic scholars in Lebanon have stressed the need for unity among Muslims, he said.

Iran has assisted Muslims in Palestine, Lebanon, Yemen, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and even extra regional nations such as Venezuela and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The 39^th Islamic Unity entitled ‘1500^th Birth Anniversary of Prophet of Mercy and Islamic Ummah’ is underway in the Iranian capital Tehran on September 8-10, 2025.
