Focus on Supporting Palestine and Reviving Prophetic Values
According to Taghrib News Agency(TNA), the conference aims to explore the character of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) through the lens of the Qur’an, apply his teachings to contemporary life, strengthen prophetic awareness and behavior within the Ummah, and reinforce practical bonds with the Prophet as a timeless leader and role model. A key objective is to mobilize the Islamic world in defense of Palestine and to foster unity among Muslim intellectuals based on Qur’anic insight.
The conference features 252 research papers across seven thematic areas: cultural-social, political-administrative, economic, educational, professional-industrial, media, and security-military. Out of more than 400 submissions, 200 domestic and 52 international papers were accepted.
In his opening address, Dr. Qassem Abbas, the conference chair, emphasized the significance of the event, rooted in the unparalleled legacy of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), who he described as a savior of humanity and an eternal exemplar.
Referring to the ongoing Zionist aggression in Gaza, Abbas stated that international laws and treaties have lost their effectiveness, and the only remaining path is the prophetic model. He cited the Prophet’s uncompromising stance against the Jewish tribes of Banu Qaynuqa, Banu Nadir, Banu Qurayza, and Khaybar as a precedent for today’s Muslim response to oppression.
Dr. Mohammed al-Bukhaiti, President of Sana’a University, called the conference—held during the Prophet’s birth month—a powerful symbol of Yemen’s unified stance alongside its intellectual and administrative elite in the sacred struggle for Palestinian liberation.
In a video address, Sheikh Maher Hammoud, President of the International Union of Resistance Scholars in Lebanon, praised the Yemeni people: “No nation is more deserving of celebrating the Prophet’s birth than you. You have proven your faith through action and stand at the forefront of resistance alongside Palestine.”
The first academic session featured studies on the Prophet’s military strategies, countering organized crime, the role of international institutions in protecting hospitals during wartime, and applying prophetic experiences to Yemen’s maritime security. The second session addressed the role of digital media in countering soft warfare, discourse analysis of Yemen’s revolutionary leaders, and the semiotics of the Prophet’s political speech.
This gathering of scholars from across the globe sends a clear message: the Ummah of Muhammad (PBUH) remains alive, and his mission endures. Neither the passage of centuries nor attempts at distortion can erase it—for it is the divine message that concluded the chain of heavenly revelations.
