“Muslim scholars must hold world community accountable”, cleric

Hujjat-ul-Islam Jamshidi, speaking at the international conference in Saint Petersburg, stressed unity of the monotheistic religions based on their commonalities, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He said,” Cohesion is based on shared moral principles such as human dignity and justice, and beyond mere coexistence, it is considered a strategic necessity in today's world.”

A member of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom stated: "Today, humanity needs a unified voice and the revival of human and spiritual values; therefore, dialogue around these commonalities and facilitating communication between all religions and faiths is a vital strategy for overcoming global challenges."

This Shia scholar emphasized: "Disagreement and division are the cause of many problems that will lead to the loss of the status of a united group and community. This is a general rule that is not subject to sects and religions and encompasses every group and community."

He stated: "Therefore, it is recommended that more efforts be made to promote convergence and synergy, and that destructive factors that undermine unity be avoided.”

He pointed expressed regret over the miserable situation of the people of Gaza, from Muslims to other religions. The Zionist regime has trampled on all fundamental principles and does not accept any laws or rules."

The representative of the World Forum for the Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought emphasized,” It is a duty and obligation for the rulers, scholars, thinkers, and intellectuals of the Muslim world and those who follow the school of the prophets, not to remain silent in the face of the tragedies of the oppressed people of Gaza; to raise their voices and hold the international community accountable, and to act seriously on their divine and human duty.
