Larijani emphasized that one of the main objectives of his trip was to honor the martyrs who defended Lebanon. He noted that since his last visit, significant developments have occurred in the region, and the true nature of the Zionist regime has become more evident to the people. He added that statements made by Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah in previous decades—once met with skepticism—are now widely accepted.
He reiterated that the Qatar incident revealed the regime’s disregard for national sovereignty and regional stability. “Today, it is clear to all that the Zionist regime spares no nation,” Larijani said, adding that countries across the region are now seeking mechanisms for mutual cooperation.
Larijani described regional collaboration against the Zionist regime as a sound strategy and affirmed Iran’s support for such efforts. He also highlighted the longstanding historical ties between Iran and Lebanon, noting that mutual friendship has deepened in recent years. Iran, he said, has consistently supported strong and independent governments.
He expressed hope that developments in Lebanon would benefit its people and pave the way for the formation of a sovereign and capable government. Larijani concluded by stating that he hoped the meetings held during his brief visit would prove beneficial for both nations and contribute to the well-being of the broader Muslim world.
