Spokesperson: ICJ Advisory Opinion Exposes Israel’s Systematic Human Rights Violations

In a post shared on X, Baghaei emphasized that the ICJ reaffirmed Israel’s legal obligation to ensure the provision of essential goods and services to Palestinians living under occupation, and to refrain from obstructing humanitarian access.

“The Court reiterates that starvation as a method of warfare is strictly prohibited under international law,” Baghaei wrote.
Continued Violations and Legal Accountability
Baghaei noted that the ICJ had previously declared Israel’s occupation of Palestinian territories illegal and called for its termination. He accused the Israeli regime of persistently disregarding these rulings and violating core principles of international law.
He also referenced ongoing investigations by both the ICJ and the International Criminal Court (ICC) into allegations of war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide committed by Israel in Gaza.
“The culture of impunity granted to Israel by its supporters must come to an end,” Baqaei asserted.
The statement reflects Iran’s broader diplomatic stance in support of Palestinian rights and international legal accountability for violations committed during the recent conflict.
