OIC lashes out Israeli draft law for execution of Palestinian detainees
The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has slammed a recent draft law that authorizes execution of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails.

The organization said that such unlawful and racist Israeli laws constitute a violation of the principles and rules of international humanitarian law, the Geneva Convention relative to the Treatment of Prisoners of War, and relevant United Nations resolutions.
It called on the international community to assume its responsibilities to put an end to all Israeli violations and to provide international protection for the Palestinian people.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has supported a bill that would authorize the execution of Palestinian prisoners.
The far-right Jewish Power party, led by National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, submitted the bill, which will go to a first reading in the Knesset on Wednesday.
