In the latest of these attacks, Israeli troops raided the home of a Palestinian man in the town of Yatta, near the occupied al-Khalil and “severely beat” him and his relatives.
Palestinian media reported the man was brought to a nearby hospital to receive treatment for his injuries.
Meanwhile, Israeli soldiers erected several military checkpoints in and around Hebron and closed roads.
In a separate incident in the village of Abu Falah, near the occupied Ramallah, Israeli residents set a resident’s house ablaze and fired shots with weapons at people in the area.
The violence comes a day after two Palestinian teens were killed by Israeli occupation forces in the town of al-Judeira, northwest of the occupied al-Quds, while at least 15 Palestinians were injured in Israeli gunfire at a protest against a new settlement in the northern occupied West Bank.
The youths were fatally shot when Israeli forces “opened heavy live fire” on them, the Health Ministry said in a statement, according to reports. Their bodies were later withheld by the Israeli forces.
Authorities said that more than 1,068 Palestinians have been killed in the occupied West Bank, 10,000 wounded, and more than 20,000 arrested, including 1,600 children, since the Israeli onslaught in the Gaza Strip began two years ago.
In a landmark opinion last July, the International Court of Justice declared Israel’s occupation of Palestinian territory illegal and called for the evacuation of all settlements in the West Bank and East al-Quds.
