Secretary-General of the Arab National Conference:

The Two-State Solution Has Effectively Collapsed

He emphasized that the Palestinian people and the Arab world are facing an existential battle against the Zionist project—a project aimed at weakening Arab nations and asserting control over the region.
The Two-State Solution Has Effectively Collapsed
A Call for Arab Nationalist Revival
Al-Taher stressed the need to revive Arab nationalist thought, saying: “Confronting today’s challenges is only possible through rebuilding Arab intellectual foundations and awakening the spirit of Arab unity.”
He called for a critical reassessment of the historical experience of Arab nationalist movements and the development of a new strategy to mobilize the capabilities of Arab nations against the threat of Zionism.
Resistance as the Basis for Palestinian Unity
He pointed to the lack of social cohesion, absence of democracy, and political fragmentation in the Arab world as factors that have weakened Arab positions against the Zionist agenda. According to al-Taher, Palestinian national unity can only be achieved through commitment to resistance and national principles.
Gaza Must Be Governed by Palestinians
Al-Taher firmly rejected any post-war governance plans for Gaza proposed by the United States or the Zionist regime. He insisted that Gaza must be administered solely by Palestinian institutions and only after the complete withdrawal of occupying forces.
He concluded: “Gaza is part of Palestinian land and must be governed by the Palestinian people alone. No externally imposed plan will be acceptable.”
