Iranian cleric calls for complain against Trump over Iran attack remarks

The interim Friday prayer leader of Tehran has called on the diplomatic officials in the country to complain against the US President Donald Trump over his remarks regarding leadership of anti-Iran attacks in June.

Ayatollah Sayyed Ahmad Khatami, in his Friday sermon, said Iran has no choice but to complain to the international organizations, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He said, “Trump has explicitly stated that he led the Zionist regime's attack on Iran” and added,” Even if no action is taken by international organizations, we have no choice but to complain. Therefore, I ask the diplomatic establishment to complain about the criminal Trump.”

The call by Iranian senior cleric comes a week after Donald Trump claimed responsibility for the June 13th Israeli attack against Iran that killed several top commanders and scores of civilians.

His remarks contradict previous assertions that the Israeli government acted unilaterally.

The multiple attacks over 12 days of aggression against Iran triggered response from Iran in massive retaliatory missile strikes against the Israeli-occupied lands codenamed “Operation True Promise III”.

The attack targeted several key military and intelligence sites deep into the occupied territories.
