According to the statement, journalists Nidal Suheil al-Wahidi, Haitham Jamal Abdulwahid, and Ahmad Issam al-Agha have been forcibly disappeared since their arrest, with no official information provided to their families or legal representatives regarding their whereabouts or condition.
The center, citing testimonies from recently released journalists, emphasized that Israel is pursuing a systematic and deliberate policy targeting press freedom and the safety of media professionals.
The statement described Israel’s actions as clear violations of the Geneva Conventions, breaches of Article 9 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, and crimes against humanity under the Rome Statute.
The center concluded by calling on the United Nations, the International Federation of Journalists, and international fact-finding committees to take urgent and effective action to clarify the status of the three missing journalists and to secure the immediate release of all detained media personnel.
