In a provocative comment by the U.S. president, Donald Trump threatened to launch military attack against the Islamic Republic.
The comment came amid the recent terrorist attacks that targeted different cities across Iran.
Multiple countries, groups and individuals have lashed out the U.S. over threatening Iran calling for solidarity for the Iranian nation and the Leader of the Islamic Republic, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei.
The most recent of such condemnations was expressed in a joint statement by Mohd Azmi Abdul Hamid, the President of Majlis Perundingan Pertubuhan Islam Malaysia (MAPIM), Datuk Seri Syekh Ahmad Awang, Chairman Alliance of World Mosques in Defence of Al Aqsa and also Dato' Wira Syekh Abdul Ghani Samsudin, Chairman Secretariat of the Ulama Assembly of Asia.
The following is the full text of the message calling for global support of the Muslim countries for Ayatollah Khamenei in face of Donald Trump:
TRUMP’S THREATS AGAINST IRANIAN LEADERSHIP MUST BE MET WITH FIRM CONDEMNATION AND SOLIDARITY WITH THE IRANIAN PEOPLE BY MUSLIM COUNTRIES
Majlis Perundingan Pertubuhan Islam Malaysia (MAPIM) strongly condemns the recent threatening and provocative statements made by Donald Trump against the leadership of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Such rhetoric is not mere political posturing. It constitutes a dangerous form of intimidation that undermines international stability and risks escalating tensions in an already fragile region.
Threatening the leadership of a sovereign nation represents a clear violation of the principles of the United Nations Charter, international law, and accepted diplomatic norms. It reflects a continued pattern of coercive foreign policy, political bullying, and hegemonic arrogance that has repeatedly destabilized regions, fueled wars, and inflicted suffering on civilian populations.
We stress that these threats against Iran must be viewed within a broader context of sustained pressure, sanctions, and hostile posturing by the United States against nations that refuse to submit to external domination or align with Zionist strategic interests in West Asia. Such conduct endangers global peace and erodes the foundations of a rules-based international order.
In this regard, we express full solidarity with the Iranian people in the face of external threats and intimidation. Political differences or sectarian diversity must never be exploited to justify foreign interference, military threats, or attempts to undermine national sovereignty. The dignity, security, and self-determination of all nations must be respected without exception.
We therefore call upon:
1. Muslim countries to issue firm and collective condemnations of any threats directed against Iran
2. The Organization of Islamic Cooperation and other Muslim multilateral platforms to take a clear and principled stand against intimidation and unilateral aggression
3. Sovereign states worldwide to reject policies of coercion, sanctions, and threats that undermine international peace
4. The international community to insist that disputes be addressed through diplomacy, dialogue, and international law, not through threats or force
The world does not need more manufactured crises, reckless threats, or wars driven by power politics.
What the world urgently needs is moral courage, principled leadership, and collective resistance to the normalization of intimidation by powerful states.
We reiterate that lasting peace can only be achieved when all nations, regardless of size or power, are treated with justice, dignity, and respect.
Threats against Iran today serve as a warning to the international community tomorrow.
Justice, sovereignty, and peace are non-negotiable.
