Iran hails retaliatory attacks against Israel, vows continued support for Lebanon amid strikes
In a statement on Monday, Iran’s Foreign Ministry declared that the country’s defensive strikes against military targets in the northern occupied territories were carried out within the framework of inherent self-defense under Article 51 of the UN Charter, following repeated ceasefire violations by the Zionist regime.

The ministry stressed that the strikes came in response to Israel’s persistent breaches of the April 8 ceasefire, including its collaboration with the US military in attacks on Iranian ships and targets in southern Iran over the past two weeks, as well as US‑backed maritime piracy against the Iranian nation.

It emphasized that the ceasefire in Lebanon is an inseparable part of the April 8 truce agreement, and that the United States bears direct responsibility for Israeli violations and any resulting escalation in the region.

The ministry also warned that any malicious adventure by the Zionist regime against Lebanon or Iran will be met with a crushing and comprehensive response from Iran’s brave armed forces.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran reiterates its nation’s serious determination to decisively defend its security and national interests wherever it deems necessary,” the statement read.

Ali Akbar Velayati, a senior adviser to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution on international affairs, has issued an ultimatum to the Israeli regime and its backers, stating that any continued aggression will unleash a calculated chain of responses from the Axis of Resistance.

In a statement on Sunday night following the occupying regime’s latest blatant ceasefire violations in Lebanon, Velayati said, “The prediction made a few days ago has materialized: a missile response of the ‘Dhāt al-Salāsil’ (chain/sequential) type.”

“Today’s stupidity by the regime in Beirut and its blatant violation of the ceasefire has activated the first link in our chain response,” he stated.

“The current security situation in Bab al-Mandab should not lead the enemy into miscalculation. The rings of the Resistance Axis have the full capability to lock both waterways. The choice is yours: stop this foolishness or enter a balanced equation for disciplining the two straits!” he noted.

In a separate message, the representative of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution on the Supreme Defense Council issued a strong warning to the enemy, saying the roaring voice heard in the skies of Tel Aviv is none other than the voice of the Iranian nation.

In a statement issued on Monday, shortly after Iran launched barrages of missiles at occupied territories in response to the persistent Israeli attacks on Lebanon, Rear Admiral Ali Akbar Ahmadian said Iran and Iranians will never submit to the imposition of anyone's will.

"This roaring voice you hear in the skies of Tel Aviv is the voice of the Iranian nation," read the message, in a reference to Iranian missile barrages targeting the occupied territories.

He emphasized that the Islamic Republic's officials, relying on divine support and the backing of a vigilant and mobilized people, stand firm until final victory.

Also, the head of the Iranian Judiciary Gholamhossein Ejei has reacted to the Zionist regime's attack on Dahiyeh district in south of the Lebanese capital, saying that Iran stands by Lebanon.

In a post on social media on Sunday, Judiciary head Ejei reacted to the Israeli aggression on Beirut, saying that "The Lebanese resistance is not just a name and title; it is an echo of the zeal, dignity, honor, resistance and common life of nations that do not bow down in the face of oppression, aggression and aggression."

The head of the judiciary also wrote that, "There are strong ideological, faith and spiritual bonds between Iran and the Lebanese people, the Lebanese resistance is the soul of Iran."

He concluded by emphasizing: "After its aggressive advances in southern Lebanon, the Zionist enemy has now coveted Beirut, the heart of this country."
