Qubbat Musa; Israel's attempt to eliminate historical sites of Al-Aqsa Mosque
Over the past several months, Israeli occupation forces have intensified the policy of evacuating facilities and landmarks within the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound under the pretext of security concerns.

According to the Taghrib News Agency, the International Al-Quds Foundation on Wednesday warned about the intensification of Israel's policy of evacuating several landmarks within the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound under security pretexts, the latest of which is Qubbat Musa in its southwestern section.
The Foundation stated in a statement that occupation forces have intensified the policy of evacuating facilities and landmarks within the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in recent months and weeks under the pretext of security considerations.
The Foundation clarified that the latest of these actions targeted Qubbat Musa, bringing the number of targeted facilities to four, all of which have been administrative headquarters of the Islamic Waqf under Jordanian management.
According to the statement, these four facilities are: Qubbat Imam Ghazali above the roof of the Bab al-Rahma prayer hall, Dar al-Hadith al-Sharif (the Hadith House) in the northeastern section of Al-Aqsa, Qubbat Sulayman in the northern courtyard of Al-Aqsa Mosque opposite Bab Malik Faisal, and Qubbat Musa.
The Al-Quds Foundation explained that the occupation authorities fabricate security pretexts regarding these facilities and use these pretexts to raid these places, break locks, and pursue and expel anyone who enters these facilities under the pretext of security-disrupting activities.
The Al-Quds Foundation's statement on this matter said: "What is happening is a procedure relatively similar to that which was applied to the Bab al-Rahma prayer area for 16 years between 2003 and 2019."
The statement emphasized: "This requires that this evacuation be considered a prelude to seizing these four facilities and attempting to gradually place them under the control and management of the occupation police, in addition to disrupting the Waqf offices active in them."
Jordan preserved its right to supervise religious affairs in Jerusalem under the Wadi Araba peace treaty it signed with Israel in 1994.
In March 2013, Jordan's King Abdullah and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas signed an agreement granting the Kingdom the right of "guardianship and defense of Jerusalem and holy sites" in Palestine.
