According to the Taghrib News Agency, Hezbollah's Media Relations Office, in its explicit statement, categorically rejected the news published on social networks about the cancellation of all Ashura religious gatherings and ceremonies in the southern suburbs of Beirut.
This institution emphasized that no changes have been made to the predetermined programs and that the scattered rumors are being promoted solely by unreliable sources with the aim of creating tension and diverting public opinion.
According to the official announcement, all mourning ceremonies and gatherings will be held according to the announced schedule throughout the southern suburbs of Beirut, and no restrictions have been imposed on the presence of lovers of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS).
Officials in charge of organizing the Muharram ceremonies asked the public to follow only official news through Hezbollah's reputable information channels and to pay no attention to baseless rumors.
In another part of this statement, the continuation of the central Ashura gathering is emphasized, which is scheduled to be held at the shrine of the martyred Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah (may God be pleased with him) with the presence of a huge crowd of mourners of Imam Hussein.
According to the details contained in this announcement, this magnificent ceremony will begin on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at 18:00 local time, with all customary protocols observed.
This approach not only represents a decisive response to rumormongering currents but is also considered a symbolic message for establishing stability and security in the areas of influence and main bases of this party in the heart of Beirut.
