The leader of the Israeli opposition, in an interview with the British newspaper The Times, reported the spread of an atmosphere of despair and concern among Israeli society and emphasized that the declared goals of the war have not been achieved so far.

According to the Taghrib News Agency, Lapid emphasized: "There is deep concern in Israel because the goals that were declared for the war have not been achieved."
 
He also referred to Tel Aviv's relations with Washington and said: "Our relations with the United States have been severely damaged, and the future government will be forced to try to repair this damage."
 
The leader of the Israeli opposition added: "Since October 7, we have not seen such a level of despair and pessimism among Israelis. The level of frustration and hopelessness has reached a point that is difficult to bear."
 
In another part of his remarks about possible regional agreements, Lapid stated: "Israel must announce that it agrees to an agreement, provided that its military capabilities and the right to self-defense using all necessary means against any potential threat are preserved, especially regarding Iran becoming a nuclear power."
 
He also claimed: "We must remind the world that the information and assessments of Israeli intelligence agencies regarding Iran's nuclear file are likely more accurate and complete than the information available to the United Nations."
