The funeral procession for the martyred Leader and four of his family members marks the conclusion of a week of nationwide mourning across Iran and Iraq, according to the Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

Local media reports indicate that foreign dignitaries and representatives from 27 countries have arrived in Mashhad to pay their final respects to Ayatollah Khamenei.

Mourners from across Iran have converged on the city, carrying portraits of the late Leader, chanting slogans such as “Down with the USA” and “Down with Israel,” and waving red flags—a traditional symbol of their demand for justice and vengeance.

The courtyards of the Imam Reza Holy Shrine are at full capacity, and the thoroughfares leading to the site, where the martyred Leader is to be laid to rest, remain densely packed with throngs of attendees.

The body of the martyred Leader arrived in Mashhad later than scheduled, due to the immense and overwhelming participation of the Iraqi people during the funeral processions held in Najaf and Karbala.

On Wednesday, Iraq hosted the martyred Leader and his family members, with millions of Iraqi citizens and devotees paying tribute to Ayatollah Khamenei and his family, who were martyred in a joint US-Israeli strike in late February.

The multi-city mourning procession began in Tehran on Saturday, where millions of people from across the country descended upon the capital to pay their final respects. Following three days of official mourning in Tehran, the holy city of Qom hosted the funeral rites on Tuesday.

The mourning ceremonies subsequently moved to the holy cities of Najaf and Karbala before the remains of the martyred Leader were transferred to his birthplace, Mashhad, for the final farewell and burial at the Holy Shrine of Imam Reza (AS).
