Abotorabi-Fard: The Martyred Leader Paved the Path for Unity of the Nation and the Islamic Ummah
Tehran's Friday Prayer Leader, Hojjatoleslam Seyyed Mohammad Hassan Abotorabi-Fard, emphasized that the late Supreme Leader, through his unwavering commitment to faith, national values, and Islamic cohesion, laid the groundwork for unity both within Iran and across the Muslim world. He also stressed that the U.S. has suffered a strategic setback in the Strait of Hormuz, and that Iran and the Axis of Resistance now hold the initiative.

In his Friday prayer sermons in Tehran, Hojjatoleslam Abotorabi-Fard addressed the U.S. violation of the memorandum of understanding with Iran, describing it as a continuation of criminal and unilateral actions. He clarified that the agreement was never based on trust in the U.S. administration but on a reciprocal commitment mechanism, and reaffirmed Iran's firm resolve to defend its national interests and regional allies.
He praised Iran's armed forces for securing the strategic Strait of Hormuz and delivering a decisive response to what he called "U.S. military adventurism," stressing that America would never be permitted to interfere in the strait. He noted that after 120 days of confrontation, the U.S. failed to achieve its objectives through force and will not gain them through negotiation.
Reflecting on the massive funeral ceremonies for the martyred Leader, Abotorabi-Fard described them as an unprecedented historic epic that demonstrated the unity and power of the Islamic Ummah—particularly the peoples of Iran and Iraq. He stated that these events signaled a new order for the Islamic world, grounded in the anti-hegemonic thought of Khomeini and Khamenei.
He further asserted that the collapse of U.S. hegemony, the fall of Israel's Iron Dome, and the disruption of security at American bases in the region have shifted the balance of power in favor of Iran and the Resistance. He described "proactive deterrence" as a new strategic reality.
Abotorabi-Fard called for strengthening the bond between the people and the state, warning against enemy efforts to create distrust between citizens and officials. He urged all sectors of society to uphold national unity as the main pillar of strength, and to engage in respectful, knowledge-based dialogue within ethical and Islamic frameworks.
He also emphasized that the call for revenge is not mere rhetoric but a deeply held conviction, and warned that those responsible for the Leader's martyrdom will never be forgiven by the Islamic Ummah and freedom-seeking peoples worldwide.
In his first sermon, he highlighted collective patience as a strategic asset—both within society and in confronting the enemy—and urged the faithful to show greater endurance than the adversary.
Finally, he described the Strait of Hormuz as the pulse of Iran's and the Islamic Ummah's power, and reiterated that Iran's diplomatic apparatus must engage from a position of strength, guided by the martyred Leader's doctrine of resistance, which has united the Islamic world into a formidable front against arrogance.
