Ayatollah Ahmad Marvi made the remarks during a meeting with a high-ranking Indonesian delegation visiting Iran to offer condolences following the martyrdom of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, as reported by the Taqrib News Agency (TNA), citing Astan News.

“Islamic countries, through unity and cohesion, are capable of establishing the greatest human civilization of the current era, mirroring the foundations laid by the Holy Prophet in the early days of Islam,” the Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi stated.

Addressing the martyrdom of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Marvi remarked, “The criminal US and the Zionist Israeli regime assumed that by assassinating the Leader, the establishment would collapse.” He added, “While this loss is profound for us, the Islamic Republic system remains resilient, sustained by the grace of the Almighty and a robust structure that is not dependent on any single individual.”

Ayatollah Marvi further noted that the 40-day US-Israeli war on Iran revealed that while Washington may be a military superpower, it cannot always achieve its aims. “The very forces who imposed this war upon us and claimed they would return Iran to the Stone Age are now reaching out, seeking negotiations,” he said.

Reflecting on the funeral of the martyred Leader, Ayatollah Marvi highlighted the massive turnout as a manifestation of the Leader’s divine popularity, noting that the ceremony drew millions from across the globe, transcending sectarian lines.

He emphasized that the late Leader was deeply concerned not only for the people of Iran but for all oppressed human beings, regardless of their faith or nationality.

“The freedom of nations and the liberation of mankind from the hegemony of oppressors formed the slogan and the practical path of this noble martyr. For this reason, God placed his love in the hearts of Muslims and the free-thinking people of the world,” he added.

For his part, the Speaker of the People’s Consultative Assembly of Indonesia expressed his deepest condolences on behalf of the Indonesian government and people.

The Indonesian delegation also visited the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS) and paid their respects at the tomb of the late Leader, who was recently laid to rest at the holy site in the northeastern city of Mashhad.
