'Blood of martyred Leader united nations beyond borders'

An Iranian women's NGO has hailed the Iraqi nation for the massive funeral ceremonies held for the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, in Najaf and Karbala, saying the blood of the martyred Leader united free and faithful nations beyond geographical borders.
The Global Association of Muslim Women, in a statement issued on Tuesday, expressed gratitude to Iraqi tribes, scholars, resistance groups, and people from all walks of life who paid tribute to the martyred Leader, the Taqrib News Agency (TNA) reported.

The group said, "This conscious and sincere presence once again proved that the pure blood of the martyrs of Islam has, beyond geographical borders, united faithful and free nations around the lofty ideals of resistance."

Describing the Iraqi nation as "a brotherly and revolutionary people," the Iranian Muslim women's association added, "Your epic, sympathetic, and passionate presence at the funeral and memorial ceremonies for this noble martyr showcased an unparalleled bond between the two nations of Iran and Iraq."

The group emphasized that the Iraqi nation's hospitality and the funeral ceremonies held for the martyred Leader reflected the "deep-seated religious and historical ties" between the two countries.

It added, "By participating in this epic event, you struck fear into the hearts of the oppressors and brought solace to the grieving hearts of the leadership and the Islamic Ummah."


The statement by the Global Association of Muslim Women followed large funeral processions held for the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution and four members of his family who were killed in a US-Israeli attack on Tehran on February 28.

Millions of mourners and devotees in the holy cities of Najaf and Karbala attended the funeral processions in tribute to the martyred Ayatollah Khamenei and pledged allegiance to the new Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei.
