Ayatollah Seyyed Mostafa Khamenei, the eldest son of the martyred Leader, stated that true patience involves enduring the tragedy of losing the late Leader while continuing to move toward the ultimate goal with resolve and integrity.

Ayatollah Khamenei made the remarks during a memorial service held for the martyred Leader at the Imam Khomeini Grand Mosalla in Tehran on Tuesday, according to the Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He emphasized that patience is in no way incompatible with seeking retribution and confronting the “wicked of the world” who orchestrated these heinous crimes. The senior cleric reiterated that true patience demands resilience and an unwavering commitment to the cause.

Reflecting on the events of the past week, he highlighted the massive public turnout during the funeral processions for the martyred Leader in Iran and Iraq, stressing that the significance of this “great spiritual awakening” must be recognized.

He further conveyed the gratitude of the new Leadership to the people of Iran and Iraq for their participation in the historic, multi-million-strong funeral processions held between July4-9.

“The dear people of Iran, with their extraordinary loyalty and insight, composed a scene that was profoundly difficult for the enemy to bear,” Ayatollah Mostafa Khamenei added.

He also expressed his deep appreciation for the Iraqi people, stating, “I extend my gratitude to the dear people of Iraq, who, with their loyalty and insight, created an extraordinary spectacle—whether in the cities of Najaf and Karbala, or along the pilgrimage route between those two holy cities.”

Finally, he extended his thanks to Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Units (Hashd al-Shaabi) and the Iraqi government for their efforts in organizing the ceremonies and providing security in Karbala and Najaf.
