In an interview with the Iran’s Qur’an News Agency (IQNA) conducted on the sidelines of the farewell ceremonies for the martyred Leader in Tehran, Ragheda Masri, a Lebanese professor and researcher, highlighted the profound impact of the Leader’s vision on global Islamic unity.
“The Martyr Leader worked tirelessly to resolve religious differences and bring Muslim perspectives closer through organized seminars, conferences, and scientific dialogues,” Masri stated. “He played a pivotal role in reducing sectarian gaps and strengthening Islamic convergence.”
Masri emphasized that the Leader viewed the Palestinian cause as the central axis for the unity of the Islamic Ummah. Drawing inspiration from the teachings of Imam Khomeini (RA), he noted that the Leader consistently prioritized intellectual, political, and material support for the Palestinian cause and the oppressed nations of the world.
“The Leader’s support was never limited to the Shia community; it encompassed all Muslims, specifically centering on the cause of Palestine,” Masri added. “This inclusive approach earned him a unique and respected position throughout the entire Islamic world.”
The Lebanese scholar stressed the necessity of continuing this path, calling on Muslims to maintain cohesion and solidarity to build a powerful and sovereign Ummah.
Reflecting on the immense regional grief, Masri noted that the loss is felt deeply in Lebanon, particularly following the recent martyrdom of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah. “For the people of Lebanon, this loss is incredibly heavy and painful, a sentiment that has been doubled following the martyrdom of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah,” she remarked.
Concluding her remarks, Masri affirmed that the path and the ideology of the martyred Leader would endure. She expressed her hope that this historic journey of resistance will continue under the guidance of Ayatollah Sayyid Mojtaba Khamenei.
