Palestinian Official:

Martyr Ayatollah Khamenei's ideas shaped resistance strategy

A member of the political bureau of the ‘Palestinian Struggle Movement’ said the ideas of Iran's "martyred Leader," Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, transformed the concept of resistance into a comprehensive strategy aimed at strengthening national sovereignty, empowering nations and supporting the Palestinian cause.

In an interview with Iran's Taghrib News Agency (TNA), Shahdi Atiyeh, a member of the Palestinian group's political bureau, said resistance is an idea carried only by "free nations" and argued that no resistance project can succeed without confronting colonialism, extremism and underdevelopment while simultaneously strengthening national capabilities across multiple sectors.

Atiyeh said the absence of resistance would lead to the loss of national sovereignty, security and stability, adding that genuine development can only be achieved under conditions of political independence and national sovereignty.

He described Ayatollah Khamenei as one of the most influential figures in shaping the collective identity of the "Axis of Resistance."

According to Atiyeh, Ayatollah Khamenei played a significant role in supporting the Palestinian cause and other movements seeking national liberation.

The Palestinian official also said Ayatollah Khamenei played a central role in establishing and strengthening the regional resistance alliance, adding that Palestinian resistance groups have consistently expressed appreciation for the Islamic Republic of Iran's support.

Atiyeh further said that Ayatollah Khamenei's martyrdom was a consequence of his steadfast support for Palestine and the broader Islamic world.

He described Islamic resistance as a key pillar of the wider resistance movement, saying it seeks to create common ground for cooperation among groups with differing political and ideological views in order to confront shared challenges and adversaries.

Referring to West Asia, Atiyeh said the region's predominantly Muslim population provides significant potential for greater unity, adding that resistance movements should play a leading role in promoting coordination and solidarity among different groups.

Discussing the priorities facing the Muslim world, Atiyeh said that, in view of the martyred Leader, successful resistance requires a clear strategic vision, strong ideological foundations and practical plans in the political, economic, security and military spheres to achieve its objectives.
