Two Palestinians killed in fresh Israeli settler raids on West Bank
Israeli settlers’ raids against Palestinians in West Bank has claimed more lives amid coordinated attacks and arson targeting property in across the occupied territories.

Two Palestinians were killed and several others were wounded after the settlers, accompanied by Israeli occupation forces, attacked the town of Deir Jarir, east of Ramallah.
The Palestinian Health Ministry identified the two Palestinians killed as 53-year-old Awda Abdul Rahim Awda Farakhna and 26-year-old Ahmad Adel Rashid Abu Mukh.
According to Deir Jarir Village Council head Eid Hammad, settlers entered the town’s old quarter under the protection of Israeli forces, stormed a Palestinian home and seized sheep after marking them for confiscation.
Residents confronted the settlers, triggering clashes during which Israeli occupation soldiers and settlers opened heavy fire when Farakhna, a member of the village council, and Abu Mukh were fatally shot and several other Palestinians sustained serious injuries.
The violence in Deir Jarir formed part of a wider wave of settler attacks reported across the occupied West Bank.
In Hebron governorate, an elderly Palestinian was injured during a settler assault on Surif, where homes were also vandalized and trees damaged.
At least 20 Palestinians have been killed since the beginning of this year as a result of shootings and attacks carried out by Israeli settlers and the occupation forces accompanying them across the occupied West Bank, reflecting a sharp escalation in organized violence against Palestinians.
According to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), nearly 850 Palestinians have been injured in settler-related attacks since the start of 2026. Of those, about 690 were directly assaulted by Israeli settlers, while the remaining victims were injured by Israeli occupation forces.
UN figures also show that Israeli settlers have carried out more than 1,000 attacks against Palestinians in at least 230 locations across the occupied West Bank since the beginning of the year.
The attacks have included shootings, physical assaults, the torching of homes and agricultural land, destruction of property, livestock theft, and attempts to forcibly displace Palestinian residents from their communities.
