Ahmad Nafisi, deputy governor of Hormozgan Province for political, security, and social affairs, said the identification process for a number of victims of the Shajareye Tayyebeh School tragedy has been completed following specialized genetic tests, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He added that preparations have been made for the funeral procession and burial ceremony after the identities of the martyrs were officially verified.

The Shajareye Tayyebeh Elementary School in Minab was targeted three times in separate US missile strikes during the early hours of the US-Israeli aggression against Iran on February 28.

The attack claimed the lives of 168 schoolchildren, both girls and boys, along with a number of teachers, school staff members, and parents, turning the Minab school into the scene of a devastating humanitarian tragedy.

Iranian officials described the attack as a grave war crime against civilians while the UN said the bombing constituted a grave violation of humanitarian law.
