Joint Arab-Islamic Ministerial Committee Condemns Israeli Plan for Gaza Occupation
According to Taghrib News Agency, the committee, which was tasked with responding to the Israeli plan for occupying Gaza, declared the action to be a blatant violation of international law and an attempt to consolidate illegal occupation. It stated that this move aims to impose a de facto situation that is contrary to international legitimacy.

Key Points from the Statement
The committee's statement highlighted that this action by Israel is a continuation of its gross violations, including mass killings, starvation, forced displacement, and the annexation of Palestinian lands. It warned that these actions, along with settler terrorism, may amount to crimes against humanity. The committee believes these actions destroy any opportunity for peace, undermine regional and international de-escalation efforts, and intensify the severe violations against the Palestinian people, who have faced comprehensive aggression and a siege for nearly two years.
In light of these dangerous developments, the committee emphasized the following points:
The immediate and complete cessation of Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip and an end to the continuous violations by the occupying forces against civilians and civilian infrastructure in Gaza, the West Bank, and East Quds City.
A demand that Israel immediately and unconditionally allow extensive humanitarian aid—including food, medicine, and fuel—into the Gaza Strip. The statement also calls for guaranteeing the freedom of operation for relief agencies and international humanitarian organizations in accordance with international humanitarian law.
Support for the efforts of the Arab Republic of Egypt, the State of Qatar, and the United States to achieve a ceasefire and a prisoner exchange agreement, viewing it as a fundamental humanitarian entry point to de-escalate tensions, alleviate suffering, and end the aggression.
The immediate initiation of the Arab-Islamic plan for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip and a call for active participation in the upcoming reconstruction conference to be held in Cairo.
The rejection and condemnation of all attempts to displace the Palestinian people from their land in Gaza and the West Bank, including East Jerusalem. It also emphasized the need to preserve the legal and historical status of Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.
An emphasis that a just and lasting peace can only be achieved through the implementation of the two-state solution, which guarantees the formation of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with the principles of international law and relevant UN resolutions.
The committee holds the occupying Zionist regime fully responsible for the ongoing genocide and the unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip. It called on the international community, especially the permanent members of the UN Security Council, to fulfill their legal and humanitarian responsibilities and take immediate action to stop Israel's illegal and aggressive policies. The statement also underscored the need to implement the outcomes of the "High-Level International Conference on the Peaceful Resolution of the Palestinian Issue and the Implementation of the Two-State Solution," which was held in New York and chaired by Saudi Arabia and France.
The Ministerial Committee, tasked by the Joint Arab-Islamic Extraordinary Summit on developments in the Gaza Strip, consists of representatives from Bahrain, Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan, Nigeria, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, the League of Arab States, and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. Additional members include Bangladesh, the Republic of Chad, Djibouti, Gambia, Kuwait, Libya, Malaysia, Mauritania, Oman, Pakistan, Somalia, Sudan, the United Arab Emirates, and Yemen.
