Islamic Republic of Iran, Guided by Qur’anic Rationality, Will Neither Submit to Nor Be Subjugated by the West

Eshaqi began by highlighting the moral and epistemological crises plaguing Western societies, which he attributed to their estrangement from divine guidance. “These crises are no longer confined to the West—they are spreading globally,” he warned. “One of the West’s strategic tools is the export of moral and intellectual decay to weaken the spirit of resistance among nations.”
Islamic Republic of Iran, Guided by Qur’anic Rationality, Will Neither Submit to Nor Be Subjugated by the West
He emphasized that Ayatollah Khamenei’s approach to the West is neither submissive nor dismissive, but grounded in Qur’anic rationality, historical experience, and strategic insight. “The Islamic Republic seeks to articulate its stance toward Western civilization with reason and realism, while safeguarding its core values,” Eshaqi said.
Western Decline and the Role of Iranian Scholarship
Citing admissions by Western intellectuals, Eshaqi noted that many now acknowledge the decline of Western civilization. He called on Iranian scholars to document and analyze this decline scientifically to prevent distortion of the truth.
He explained that the Islamic Revolution was founded on independence, rationality, and historical awareness. “From the Supreme Leader’s perspective, dialogue with Western nations—not with hegemonic systems—is essential. He consistently distinguishes between the people of the West and the imperial structures that dominate them,” Eshaqi said.
Independence as a Non-Negotiable Value
He argued that global hegemony is inherently incompatible with independent and freedom-seeking nations. “In Qur’anic logic, the arrogant are those who enslave nations and deny their intellectual and political sovereignty,” he said. “Yet the Islamic Revolution has preserved its independence while achieving remarkable scientific and technological progress.”
Eshaqi pointed out that 45 years after the Revolution, Iran ranks among the world’s top 20 countries in several scientific and technological fields. “This progress, achieved under the banner of independence, is precisely what the hegemonic powers cannot tolerate,” he asserted.
Youth as the Engine of Progress
He praised the role of Iranian youth in driving scientific advancement, noting that the average age of the country’s nuclear scientists is under 30. “Just as young commanders led the frontlines during the Sacred Defense, today’s youth are leading Iran’s scientific renaissance,” he said.
Global Awakening Against Hegemony
Eshaqi also highlighted the growing global resistance to imperialism, noting that Iran’s National Day of Struggle Against Global Arrogance has become an international movement. “Even in the United States, over 3,000 student and grassroots protests are held against the hegemonic system,” he said, citing this as evidence of rising global awareness.
A Call for Strategic Clarity
In conclusion, Eshaqi stressed the importance of scholarly engagement with the foundations of Western civilization. “Exposing the catastrophic realities of the hegemonic system is a service to humanity,” he said. “We must use the intellectual and spiritual resources of the Islamic Revolution to reveal the true face of global domination and its destructive impact on modern humanity.”
