Thousands of pro-Palestine supporters gathered Friday outside Israel’s Embassy in London to draw attention to the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip, where Tel Aviv has imposed a policy of hunger and scarcity, Anadolu reports.

The United Nations Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory and Israel has accused Israel of committing genocide by targeting civilians sheltering in schools and religious sites in Gaza, as part of what it described as a “systematic campaign to erase Palestinian life.”

The Israeli-American backed aid distribution process in Gaza has turned into “complete chaos”,  Executive Director of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), Catherine Russell, warned, calling for the UN to be allowed to carry out its mandate in the besieged enclave.
